About Us

The Egypt Fire Department serves a population of approximately 10,000 in a 20 square mile area. We operate out of 2 fire stations with 65 volunteer personnel.

The Egypt Fire Department provides fire suppression, rescue, and EMS services to the residents of the Egypt Fire District. In addition, several Egypt firefighters are members of the 3rd battalion rope rescue team. We also have several firefighters that belong to the Monroe County Hazardous Materials Response Team.

The Egypt Fire Department conducts a regular weekly drill every Monday evening at 7:30PM. On the second Monday of each month the department holds a business meeting at 8:00PM. In addition there are occasionaly special drills scheduled for other evenings or weekends.
